A quick sneak peek | Northern Virginia engagement photographer
June 30, 2009 – 8:28 am
My new personal trainer…
June 26, 2009 – 9:36 am
…muse, friend, companion, puppy. I was warned that having a puppy was like having a new baby. Yeah right, I thought. Hah! In so many ways it is worse. This guy has so much energy, loves to chew on EVERYTHING, and I can’t put him in an exersaucer to keep him entertained. :) The great thing is he loves his crate, is learning to listen, and is overall a joyful addition to the family. He is inspiring me to get out and run more (we got to put that energy to use!), and the kiddos adore him. Needless to say he’s been keeping me busy and away from blogging. I’ve got so many wonderful sessions to share. They’ll be coming right up!
Formula for a great session! | Northern Virginia Children’s Photographer
May 13, 2009 – 12:43 pm
Perfect weather + perfect location + one super cute little girl = a great session. I had such a fun time spending the morning with this two-year old and her mom. She was quite the explorer and the gardens where we met were the perfect place for a morning exploration. If you haven’t yet been out to River Farm you should definitely plan a trip. The children’s garden is blooming and there is much to see. It is a great way to spend a weekend morning with your family, and there is no admission fee. Thanks for spending for a wonderful morning at River Farms! –Sally

Saw this adorable photo wall collage on Ohdeedoh and love it. What a great way to showcase all those cute baby pictures.
Breakfast with the Cherry Blossoms | Washington DC cherry blossom family photographer
May 11, 2009 – 4:21 pm
Another cherry blossom session, another cold and windy morning. With the weather that we had the week of the peak bloom, it is a wonder that the blossoms stayed on the trees. Luckily they did and we got some fun images. We met very early in the morning, so breakfast was al fresco (as you can see below) and there was a promise of hot chocolate after the session. It was a fun morning! -Sally

Thanks to Daily Candy I want one of these for my apron collection. Wouldn’t it make for a fun hostess gift?
Cherry Blossoms & the Washington Monument | Washington, DC family photographer
April 30, 2009 – 5:54 pm
Some favorites from another windy and cool morning on the Mall. The Jefferson Memorial was blocked off due to the Cherry Blossom 10-miler so we shot with the Washington Monument and the cherry blossoms in the background. You can’t tell from these images, but there were tons of runners and onlookers all around. Despite it all we got some great images, and managed to steer clear of the crowds from the race. Thanks for a fun adventure! –Sally
Cherry Blossoms | Washington, DC Family Photographer
April 29, 2009 – 4:20 pm
The morning I met this family at the Jefferson Memorial was a WINDY one. It was a wonder that the blooms were able to stay on the tree, but they did and they were beautiful. We had a great time dodging the crowds to get some cherry blossom pictures before this family moves south this summer. I’m so glad we could do it! Thanks for a great time! –Sally
Did I mention it was windy.
Great Falls | Northern Virginia Family Photography Session
April 28, 2009 – 9:44 am
Here are some favorites from a family session at Great Falls. It was a wet and cold spring morning. This family needed a quick family picture for a magazine article so we made the best of it and ended up having a lot of fun, even splashing in some puddles at the end of the shoot. So glad we braved the weather. Enjoy! –Sally
