I’m on Facebook and would love to keep up with you there (hint, hint). You can find my business page here. If you aren’t on Facebook I highly encourage you to check it out. I’ve found long-lost friends from elementary school and am able to keep up with family and friends scattered all over the world. I do warn you it is highly addictive though!
Enjoy! –Sally

I had a wonderful holiday break and hope you did too. Over Christmas I spent some time in Montana enjoying the snow (and boy was it cold!), taking a trip out to Yellowstone (see below), and visiting family. Thank you to all my clients for a wonderful year. It has been such a blessing to be a part of your lives. I can’t wait to see what 2009 has in store!
I wanted to wish everyone a very happy Holiday season! I hope you are able to spend some time with those you love. I have one last shoot this weekend and then I will be taking the next week off to spend time with my family. I will check emails and voice mails periodically. I am looking forward to blogging more of my fall sessions after the holidays. Merry Christmas! –Sally
The holiday order deadline for prints is this Thursday, December 11th. Please have your orders completed by that time if you want them before the holidays.
Thank you! –Sally
Here is a great resource for information about the investment of custom photography.
I like a little inspiration for how to display my photographs. It is one reason why I love the Pottery Barn catalog and all the design blogs cropping up on the internet (this is one of my favorites). Now I found a product created for photograph layouts and I am excited to offer my clients a little inspiration for displaying their images with this new inspiration guide. It has different layouts for wall and shelf displays and includes the corresponding picture sizes to make designing a snap. Enjoy! –Sally
I know it still the middle of summer, but it is already time to think about fall and holiday family sessions. I have already had a number of sessions booked for the season. If you would like to book a session please email or call with your preferred dates so I can reserve your desired time on my calendar.
Have a good weekend!
Last night I had the pleasure of heading over to the Junior League of Washington’s headquarters to take some images for the committee planning the annual Holiday Shops event held every November in DC. This is the 50th anniversary of the event and I was honored to help them out. Mark your calendars now for the weekend of November 21-23 to experience one of DC’s favorite holiday shopping events! Here are a few images from last night. Enjoy! –Sally
I wanted to post this image because I thought it captured the fun we had last night. The women on the committee were so warm and friendly. I had such a good time!
I wanted to share this photo storyboard. I think it is a great way to use sixteen of your favorite images to tell a story. You can also use colors and text in the squares to add some variety to your images. Print this one large! This one is going to go up in the nursery. I can’t wait to see it on the wall.
I’ve got a couple of sessions to blog this week that I’m really excited about. I hope you had a good weekend. I had a full (but fun!) weekend. On Saturday morning I had a family session at Ft. Ward Park. The weather was beautiful and I can’t wait to share those images. Sunday I assisted Andrea Jacobson at Tito and Courtney’s wedding. They had a beautiful reception at the Kennedy Center so keep an eye out on the Jana Curio Photography blog for images from that event. –Sally
