Engaged: Sean & Elizabeth | Washington, DC engagement photographer

Early last month I met up with Sean and Elizabeth on a very cloudy morning. It looked like the rain was going to start falling from the clouds throughout the entire session, and it did start as soon as we wrapped up. They wanted the Capitol to have a part in the engagement session so we met up on the grounds there. Here are some of my favorites from the morning. I’m looking forward to shooting their wedding later this fall!

Engaged | Washington, DC engagement photographer

More from my enagement session last month. We met early morning at the monuments in DC and had the Jefferson practically to ourselves. After some time there we headed into Old Town for a change of scenery. We had a great time wandering around with iced lattes and enjoying the sunshine. Thanks for a fun morning! –Sally

Engaged! | Washington DC engagement photographer

These two are newly engaged and wanted to do some pictures down at the Jefferson Memorial.  The morning we met the sun was shining brightly and we had beautiful crisp spring weather.  They were naturals for the camera and had a very effortless quality of being with each other. It made my job so easy and fun!  I have a lot of favorites and I can’t put them all in, but here are some.  Enjoy! –Sally

Bobby & Meghan con’t

Bob & Meghan | She said "YES!"

This morning I had the pleasure of documenting a very special event: a marriage proposal. When Bob called me and told me his plans I was so excited. I’ve never photographed an engagement and it was such a fun experience. Bob did a great job of planning and executing the event, and Meghan had no idea he was about to pop the question. I am very excited to say that she said yes! After the proposal we did a mini-engagement session and I got some great images. I’m still editing the session, but I know Meghan is anxious for a sneak peek. Meghan, here are a couple just for you! Congratulations and thank you for such a fun and memorable morning. Jessica & John

This Saturday I had the pleasure of taking Jessica and John’s engagement portraits. They are planning a fall wedding in Minnesota, but wanted to do some photos here in Old Town. The day started out rainy, but we met just as the storm clouds were passing out of the area. It turned out to be a perfectly cool May afternoon. John and Jessica, it was so fun to meet you both, thanks for a great afternoon. I hope you enjoy your images! –Sally

Matt & Cathy

Meet Cathy and Matt. They are recently engaged and planning a winter 2009 wedding. We met up last Sunday to get an engagement session with the Cherry Blossoms. They braved the elements of a rainy DC day, not too mention a ton of tourists! We had a great time–they had such a good sense of humor and had me laughing most of the session. Home repairs…

Our household has been a little crazy the last week. We’re having some home repairs being done and they are just getting wrapped up. It has kept me a little busy and away from my blogging. Here is a sneak peek at a fun engagement session I had last Sunday. We headed down to the Mall to get some cherry blossom photos. The blooms were still pretty, but we had to brave wind and rain. Even with the unpredictable weather we got some great shots. I’m still editing the rest, can’t wait to show you more!
