Twins on the way | Northern Virginia Maternity Photographer

This is from last spring!  I can’t believe that I haven’t blogged all my sessions from 2009, but I’ll be trying to catch up in the next couple months.  Can you believe that this beautiful mother is carrying twins?  And she was in the middle of her third trimester.  I thought she looked beautiful!  I enjoyed spending a warm spring morning with this family.  We spent some time outdoors and then headed inside for a special Oreo treat with the soon-to-be big brother.

Old Town Family Session | Northern Virginia Photographer

These are some favorites from a family session last May.  I’m still catching up on my blogging and can’t believe it has taken me this long to blog this fun little girl and her parents.  When we met she was just turning one and such a cutie.  I love her curls and sweet brown eyes.  You can just see what a joy she is to her parents.

Northern Virginia Family Photographer

This was a fun family lifestyle session from November.  We spent a relaxing morning at this family’s home and then headed outside to their backyard for some outdoor shots.  Just beyond their backyard there was an amazing forested area with beautiful light and fall color.  Thanks for a great time! –Sally

Three Generations | Northern Virginia Family Photographer

Earlier this week I met up with three generations of women to do a family lifestyle session.  In addition to some fall outdoor portraits, I was able to document some of the activities they enjoy together.  We hung out in the kitchen for a little while and then headed out to the living room to look at family photos.  I even managed to get Grandpa in a couple of shots.  It was such an honor to document three generations of this family.  Thank you for a wonderful morning.  Enjoy! –Sally

Twins | Northern Virginia Children’s Photographer

Bocce ball

Last Saturday I had a very fun morning hanging out with friends who asked me to do a photo session for them. The last time they had portraits taken was at their wedding and that was about six years ago. They were overdue! :) We started the morning at their home hanging out with their dog and playing some bocce ball. Then we headed out to Old Town to grab some quick photos before they went off to a game of golf. They are always so funny and they had me cracking up through the entire session. Three Weeks

Earlier this week I had the pleasure of spending time with this family and their brand new baby boy. He was three weeks old and still so tiny and sweet. He had the bluest eyes that were so curious about what was going on. We were hoping he would sleep for us so I could get some sweet sleepy pictures, but he decided he would rather stay awake and keep an eye on all the happenings. :) It was such an honor to do his first photo session.
