July at River Farm | Northern Virginia Family Photographer

I met up with this cute little boy and his family last month, just a bit shy of his first birthday.  What a cutie!  I loved his curls and big blue eyes.  We were graced with a remarkably mild morning for being July (and this hot summer of 2010!).  Thanks for a great morning!

Family of Four at River Farm | Northern Virginia Family Photographer

Have I said lately how much I love working at River Farm?  I was back there again last week for this family session.  The meadow grasses are growing tall and made for a stunning backdrop.  I had a great time keeping up with these two enthusiastic explorers and their parents.  Thanks for a great morning outside!

Northern Virginia Family Photographer | River Farm in May

Some recent images from a session at River Farm with a favorite family.  I always enjoy shooting at River Farm.  The grounds are just magical.  If you haven’t been yet, add it to your list of summer activities.  It has a lovely children’s garden, historic home, and a fun meadow!  Pack a picnic lunch and watch your kiddos fall in love with the landscape.

Northern Virginia Family Photographer | Morning at Occoquan Park

What a way to spend the first morning of May.  I met this family back when big brother was just a newborn.  When we first met it was on a cold, post-snowstorm December Day.  What a difference we had at our most recent session.  It was great to catch up and meet the newest member of the family.  Enjoy! Twins on the way | Northern Virginia Maternity Photographer

This is from last spring!  I can’t believe that I haven’t blogged all my sessions from 2009, but I’ll be trying to catch up in the next couple months.  Can you believe that this beautiful mother is carrying twins?  And she was in the middle of her third trimester.  I thought she looked beautiful!  I enjoyed spending a warm spring morning with this family.  We spent some time outdoors and then headed inside for a special Oreo treat with the soon-to-be big brother.

Lovely Spring | Washington, DC Family Photographer

Here is a sneak peek from a session last week.  All this wonderful warm, spring weather opened the cherry tree blooms for an early peak.  When we first scheduled the session we were hoping we would catch them right at the beginning of their peak, but instead got them right in the middle of full bloom and looking gorgeous.  Thanks for a great morning at the Tidal Basin! –Sally

Sneak Peek | Alexandria Family Photographer

Old Town Family Session | Northern Virginia Family Photographer

More of this fun family session in Old Town. We met on a weekday morning in December which made for quiet streets, and as an added bonus it was a particularly mild winter day. This little boy was so happy for the entire session. He had us all giggling. Great session!

Another session from December. I photographed this family last year, but since we had last met they had a sweet little boy. It was a cozy morning morning spent inside their home, just hanging out. One of my favorite kinds of sessions!
