Early Fall at the Jefferson Memorial | Washington DC family photographer

Earlier this month I met up with this family at the Jefferson Memorial (one of my favorite monuments!) for an early fall session.  It started out pretty chilly so we got some really cute and festive shots of the family all bundled up in their winter coats. However it warmed up quickly so we were able to get some images with their cute fall clothes.  It was a great morning to be out and about in DC.  Enjoy! –Sally

Behind the Scenes | Washington D.C. Photographer

During family sessions I usually like to get a couple of shots of Mom and Dad by themselves. Typically they haven’t had any formal portraits taken of just themselves since their wedding day and it is nice to get some images of just the two of them. We work quickly because sometimes it gets a little “active” around them. Here is a close-up and a pulled-back set of images to show you what I mean. :)

p.s. More images from this family session coming soon!

Three Generations | Northern Virginia Family Photographer

Earlier this week I met up with three generations of women to do a family lifestyle session.  In addition to some fall outdoor portraits, I was able to document some of the activities they enjoy together.  We hung out in the kitchen for a little while and then headed out to the living room to look at family photos.  I even managed to get Grandpa in a couple of shots.  It was such an honor to document three generations of this family.  Thank you for a wonderful morning.  Enjoy! –Sally

Twins | Northern Virginia Children’s Photographer

Last week I had a playful session with a set of 20-month-old twins.  They had me chasing them all over their house and a local park.  What a morning we had!  These two did not slow down one bit.  I thought they were both so sweet and cute and I loved their wonderful brown curls.  Thanks for a fun morning! –Sally

One month old | Virginia Baby Photographer

Earlier this month I had the pleasure of spending the morning with this little boy and his proud parents.  He had the most hair I’ve ever seen on a newborn.  So gorgeous and thick.  And his eyes, such a deep brown.  I was smitten.  Here are some of my favorites from the session.  Enjoy! –Sally
