I was so excited when this family commissioned me to do some fall family portraits. I’ve known them since their oldest daughter was an infant and it was so fun to spend the morning with them. We had great weather and beautiful fall colors for early November. They looked so beautiful against the backdrop of yellow leaves and I noticed quite a few tourists also taking pictures of them! They even had me singing parts of “Total Eclipse of the Heart”. Apparently, the youngest gal is going through a Bonnie Tyler phase. Their not sure where she picked it up, but she loves the song.
Enjoy! –Sally
Here are some of my favorites from my session that I had at the Lincoln Memorial on Veteran’s Day. It was a crisp November morning with beautiful sunlight. This little lady braved the cold weather and looked so charming in her holiday dress. Thanks for a great session! –Sally
[gallery size="full" columns="1"]…Thank you for all you have given. I had a session at the Lincoln Memorial this morning and it was such a pleasure to see so many Veterans out at the monument. As I arrived I saw two bald eagles flying overhead. They did not go unnoticed by the Veterans who stopped and stared at them, enjoying the view. It was such a beautiful site, so many symbols of our freedom all in one place. Happy Veteran’s Day. –Sally
Late last month I headed out to Great Falls Park in Virginia for a family session. It was so nice to spend the morning in the park with this family. The forecast was calling for rain and it was slightly overcast (great for photos!) so I think it kept many people away. The park was pretty empty and we got some great shots. Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy! –Sally

The weather was pretty mild and we got some lovely afternoon light. The kids were all so photogenic that they made this really easy. Thanks for a fun afternoon. Enjoy! –Sally
