Smocks

Thanks to Daily Candy I want one of these for my apron collection. Wouldn’t it make for a fun hostess gift?

Cherry Blossoms & the Washington Monument | Washington, DC family photographer

Some favorites from another windy and cool morning on the Mall. The Jefferson Memorial was blocked off due to the Cherry Blossom 10-miler so we shot with the Washington Monument and the cherry blossoms in the background. You can’t tell from these images, but there were tons of runners and onlookers all around. Despite it all we got some great images, and managed to steer clear of the crowds from the race. Thanks for a fun adventure! –Sally

Cherry Blossoms | Washington, DC Family Photographer

The morning I met this family at the Jefferson Memorial was a WINDY one.  It was a wonder that the blooms were able to stay on the tree, but they did and they were beautiful.  We had a great time dodging the crowds to get some cherry blossom pictures before this family moves south this summer.  I’m so glad we could do it!  Thanks for a great time! –Sally

Did I mention it was windy.  ;)

Great Falls | Northern Virginia Family Photography Session

Here are some favorites from a family session at Great Falls. It was a wet and cold spring morning. This family needed a quick family picture for a magazine article so we made the best of it and ended up having a lot of fun, even splashing in some puddles at the end of the shoot. So glad we braved the weather. Enjoy! –Sally

Irish Luck | Northern Virginia Newborn Baby Photographer

This sweet little one was born on St. Patrick’s Day.  She must have a little bit of that Irish luck because she was born into a wonderful family with two adoring big brothers. Her mom is a dear friend of mine and I was so happy to do her first “photo shoot”!  She was so cute and cuddly for me–definitely gave me a bit of baby fever.  One of the perks of this job is getting to be around so many sweet newborns.  Here a few of my favorites.  Thanks for a great morning!  –Sally

One week old | Northern Virginia newborn baby photographer

This little one was just barely a week old when I had the pleasure of photographing her with her new adoring parents. She was beautiful and had the sweetest little bit of hair on her head. Thanks for a wonderful morning. –Sally

A little something fun

I’ve seen this on a couple of blogs now, but wanted to share it here in case you haven’t seen it yet. It is just a fun, happy little video. It is from a very elaborate commercial out of Belgium. Happy weekend and Happy Easter!

Engaged! | Washington DC engagement photographer

These two are newly engaged and wanted to do some pictures down at the Jefferson Memorial.  The morning we met the sun was shining brightly and we had beautiful crisp spring weather.  They were naturals for the camera and had a very effortless quality of being with each other. It made my job so easy and fun!  I have a lot of favorites and I can’t put them all in, but here are some.  Enjoy! –Sally

Morrison House Wedding Sneak Peek | Northern Virginia wedding photography

A few quick images from a wedding I did last month at the Morrison House.  Looking forward to sharing some more, but wanted to get a quick peek up for the Bride & Groom!  Enjoy! –Sally
