It has been a very busy summer for me–my family moved to Northern Mississippi (just outside of Memphis, TN).  My husband has family here, and we are so happy to be close to them.  We’re just getting settled and finding all our new favorite go-to places.  I’m so excited about meeting new families here in the greater Memphis, TN area.

I’ve fallen in love with the area–lots of “yes, ma’am’s” and “hey, y’all’s” … the world’s best BBQ … smocked dresses and bows … and boots of every variety.  If you are looking for a family photographer with an approach of capturing real life as it happens, I can’t wait to meet you!  Let’s go find a cotton field, a fun park in Memphis (Shelby Farms, anyone?!), or have a quiet afternoon in your own backyard to capture some memories.

P.S. Virginia/DC/Maryland families I will be back in the area for a couple weekends this fall if you are interested in booking a session.  I plan to make it back to the area a few times a year for sessions and to visit my family and friends back “home.”  Please email if you’d like to get on the calendar for the fall, I’d love to see you!

Warmly,

Sally

I realize as I look back through my site that I haven’t blogged any of my sessions from last fall, so I am trying to remedy that.  This is from a mini-session at Fort CF Smith Park in Arlington.  A favorite location with a favorite family.  I’ve so enjoyed working with them ever since their youngest was an infant.  It is such a joy and privilege to have clients return for yearly sessions.  I truly enjoy each and every one, and documenting your kiddos as they grow up is such an honor.

I loved this maternity session at the Bishop’s Garden at the National Cathedral.  It was a beautiful evening, with sun-soaked warm lighting.  It felt dreamy, and I love how it captures their love and anticipation for their baby.  I can’t wait to meet your little one later this month.  xoxo, Sally
